Hillcrest Platte County provides transitional housing, counseling services, and life-skills programs for the working homeless and insecurely housed. We envision a Platte County where all hold the power to provide for themselves.
Hear Imani's Story of Hope and Transformation:
MEET HOMER THE HOUSE!
Homer started as a little house on the Hillcrest Platte County campus - a place that once stood empty, waiting for new beginnings. One day, he saw families moving in, volunteers bring meals, and children laughing in the yard. Inspired by all the hope and hard work around him, Homer laced up his sneakers and started running - running to raise awareness, running to remind the community that everyone deserves a safe place to call home.
Now Homer shows up wherever there's compassion in motion: cheering on runners, high-fiving kids, and leading "The Hillcrest Home Run" toward a brighter future.

Refund/Cancellation Policy
Our fundraising 5K event will proceed rain, shine, snow, or cold. For that reason, we have a strict no-refund policy. If you are unable to participate in the event, you can still receive your packet, shirt, and medal, and you simply run the race on your own time on your own course.
This time of year the weather is iffy, but we will only cancel if our venue requires cancellation, or if there are ice hazards on the roads or course. Due to the time required for permitting we are not typically able to reschedule. If cancellation is necessary we will transfer everyone to virtual!
