Every registration helps continue Will's legacy. The proceeds from the Orange Run: The Will Hildreth Memorial 5K will provide annual scholarships to one male and one female Lee's Summit West High School track or cross country athlete. 

The recipients will be chosen by exemplifying the qualities Will lived out every day. They will be selected based on their demonstrated kindness, perseverance, integrity, and positive character both on and off the track or course.

Welcome to the Orange Run: The Will Hildreth Memorial 5K

Thank you for joining us as we celebrate the life of Will Hildreth.

Will was a beloved son, brother, teammate, and friend whose life reflected kindness, generosity, and faith in Jesus Christ. As a proud varisty runner on the Lee's Summit West Cross Country and Track teams, he loved the thrill of running fast and encouraging those around him. Whether on the course or in every day life, Will was known for lifting others up with a smile, a helping hand, and a generous heart.

Will had a few favorite things that made him uniquely "Will"-the color orange, the number 47, and, of course, macaroni and cheese. But more than anything, he loved people. He had countless friends because he made everyone feel special, loved, and welcome.

Although Will passed away in 2024, his impact continues to be felt by everyone that knew him. Today we celebrate how Will lived; with joy, compassion, humility, and a heart that reflected Christ's love.

As you run or walk today, we hope you'll do it in Will's spirit; Run Fast or Run Strong...But Always Kind.
