Predict Your Time Group Run at Longview Lake

Join us for a predict your time group run at Long Bell Pizza near Longview Lake in Lee's Summit on October 18 at 6pm. This run is in support of the Longview half marathon and 5K and is hosted by the new City Gym downtown.  Leave your running watch at home and join us for this fun group run at Long Bell Pizza near Longview Lake in Lee's Summit where you will see how well you know your pace! Participants will get the chance to predict their time for a group run of 3-4 miles (we will give you the exact distance before asking you to predict your time) and who ever is closest will win a prize! No one is allowed to wear a watch for this one! We will also be raffling off some prizes and offering a discounted rate for the Longview Half Marathon and 5K on 11/10! Stick around for pizza afterwards!

Run the Town (www.runthetown.org) is an art installation by Sarah Star that leads runners and walkers through a four mile course marked by turn-by-turn signs along the route featuring colorful illustrations that playfully blend the area’s rich history with its exciting present. Participants will be cued to explore the public art and architecture that exists in the area, as well as invoke interest in the expansive history of the Town.

We are going to start and finish at the new City Gym downtown (http://www.citygymkc.com/locations/downtown), where you can change into your running apparel and where snacks and beverages will be provided after the run. There will be a raffle drawing for prizes after the run also, including prizes from City Gym, the Broadway Bridge Run and KC Running Company!
