Lexington Glow Run 2024

Pre-Register by Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024 to receive this year's shirt and guarantee your shirt size. ONLY very limited quantities and previous year shirts will be available for registration after 4/2/24 and on race day.

Description: Please join the Lexington Cross Country and Track teams for their 2023-2024 fundraiser: The 4th Annual Lexington Cross Country & Track Glow Run on Saturday, April 13th, 2024 @ 7:30PM! Proceeds will be used for Lexington Cross Country and Track team’s expenses (out of town meets, gear, etc.) and a portion of the proceeds will go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (So far we’ve donated over $1000 to the LLS). Your participation in fundraising will keep the traditions that we have started with these programs strong while helping to raise money for a worthy cause! Fundraised money has helped the programs buy team warm-ups, paid for summer camps for runners, and helped fund out of town and out of state meets for the teams.

Where: The Glow run will be run on the Lexington High School Cross Country Course which is on campus at 2309 Aull Lane, Lexington, MO. The course will be decorated with glow lights, led lights, and tiki torches to light your way. ALL participants will also receive their own headlamp to light their way on the course at night. Before the race enjoy the music from DJ MORRIS who will be playing during registration and continue the music during the race

When: The race will be hosted @ 8:00 pm on April 13th, 2024. Race Day registration will be from 6:30-7:30 pm. Both races will start when the course is dark and all the course lights are on (approximately 8pm). We will stagger the starts by 5 or 10 minutes between the 1.5 mile fun run/walk and the 5K with the fun run/walk first. 

Cost: The Glow run will cost $30 (pre-register by 4/2/24) OR $35 after 4/2/24 or on race day which includes a race t-shirt and headlamp (as supplies last) to use during the run. Checks payable to: “Lexington Cross Country”. Please pre-register by Tuesday, April 2nd (pre-registered participants will have first priority on shirt sizes) Paper registration forms may be turned in to Coach Young at Lexington Middle School or Coach Caldwell at Lexington High School. 

The Course: The course is mostly grass with some dirt trails and one bridged crossing. The course is relatively flat with some minor hills. The course MAY get muddy with rain so be prepared. The 5K course is a 2 loop course (approximately 1.5 miles per loop). 

Giveaways: ALL participants will receive a race shirt and their own headlamp to light their way on the course at night. ALL participants will also receive a glow stick bracelet, complimentary hot dog, and bottled water. 

Awards: Medals will be handed out in the finishing chute for the top 10 boys and girls youth division (10 and under) finishers in the 1.5 mile fun run/walk and the top 15 male and female finishers in the 5K race.
