Description
The Equalizer Groad Gravel Race rolls out in 2025, Saturday morning, July 26th from Marthasville Mo!
The Equalizer is The Finalie Event to the SHO ME MO' GRVL SERIES! and a qualifier on the SBR GRAND PRIX. This is a must do race for 2025!
Will 2025 have a 10k and 20k run? Yes.
Free onsite camping in Wessel Park and the KT Caboose Friday and Saturday night!⛺

Friday pasta dinner, Race Saturday morning, BBQ dinner saturday night awards, raffle and we are working on a Bonfire/Band so go take a shower ya filth animal, bring your friends and make a weekend of it!

For the runners you know and love, there is a 10k Loop on the Katy and up the cliff into Marthasville. A bit of an Equalizer in its own right! Chip timed as well.
The 50K sees some new gravel and roads this year and will join the 100k through the full classic Equalizer loop through Warrenton and all of the most awesome and refreshing creek crossings from last year. Choose either the 50k or 100k climbing 1800' and 4100' respectively. The 50 and 100 will stay together until mile 5.
Regardless of your choice, all get the opportunity to hammer the fast road sections peppered by limestone gravel through the rolling countryside of Marthasville and Warrenton through the Aid stations and checkpoints back into racers village for a CX course style finish. Speaking of Hammers, have you seen the 1st place awards? 🤩 (the Strava Segment awards aren't too shabby either) New Custom Medals to 3rd place, and top 5 overall will have their name printed on the next years shirt.
The Equalizer is fast enough for the pavement pounder, yet technical enough for the gravel grinders, and most importanter.. Fun and safe for everyone. Aid station for both distances, (The 100k sees it 2wice) Bring your sag bag, we will have it ready for you there. Trailing/roaming sag as well.
Special awards for 2 Strava KOM segments on race day. (must be done during race and on strava) Simply upload and show your Kingly/Queenly status to be elgible for a KOM gravel crown trophy. They are sweet. You will see signs for the segment start/stops, Routes are linked below, you can peep the segments there but be sure to download the GPX because why not. The very short and climby "Kersten Krusher" and the 6 mile "King of the Groad".
Post race food, snacks, beverages, music, podiums, pics, Equalizer Black T-shirt available for those who registered by 6-15. Again, The name of last years top 5 M/F in both distances will be printed on the back, Forever immortalized in glorious glory of course. Award Ceremony and awards for the Top 3 in all A.G.10yr increments. AND Overall M/F. Post Race Raffle for other goodies, and swag and I-9 Hubs the last 2 years! We are working on a band and bonfire, so stick around, camp out, and make an epic Finalie weekend with us!

The100 K rolls AT 7:30 am! 50K rolls at 7:35! The run runs off at 7:45.

Course Details
The course takes you through roads that look untouched by time, into the beautiful and beastiful rolling hills of Warren county highland farm country. Gravel consistency ranges from fast hard packed crushed limestone, to loose gravel, to big brown Charette Creek river valley rock, to buttery smooth asphalt 3 creek crossings and dirt for the 100k.
The official routes are linked below, go have a Reconn Ride! Turns will be marked by orange arrows on the road roadside directional stakes. Also several corner marshalls present.
Its gonna be an epic day.
Food and Drink
KT Caboose onsite early race morning with discounted food and drink specials. Hamburgers, Veggie burgers, Chips, Snacks, Waters, Colas, Beers on Saturday afternoon post race waiting for you. We are working on sponsors for other food and drink options as well and will list here when that day comes. Coffee please.
Camping and Lodging
Primitive camping is available for free at the KT Caboose and in Wessel Park Saturday night. (the field next to the Marthasville Katy Trail head/State Park) Bathrooms and showers are available literally across the street at the Ballfields. They do ask for an honor system $3-5 dollar donation for use to help with keeping them stocked etc. Also: there are several rentals in Marthasville and lots of standard hotel options in neaby Washington Mo. and many B&B's in the wine country of nearby Augusta.
Packet Pick Up
You can pick up your packet with Race number, T-shirt, swag, general instructions and info at one of our sponsors on Friday July 25th. (stay tuned) or race morning in Racers Village until 7am. Racers Village is at the Marthasville City Park Pavillion. (see map below) Race will be chip timed with instant results and free finish line photos and none other than Marcus Janzow will be out on the course.. where is a mystery.. but he gets the greatest shots. Race day registration will be available until 7:00 but T-shirts and custom number bibs not guaranteed so best to sign up early!
50K EQUALIZER XXL Strava route
New for 2025, 43 miles of excellence. The "50K" will join the 100k route up to Warrenton and loop back through the famous creek crossings!
