Sisters of Solace
The BFIT CrossFit Apple Blossom 5K is a fundraiser supporting Sisters of Solace.
Sisters of Solace is a community of hospitality and healing for women survivors of trauma, human trafficking and addiction.
The women we serve find their way home from the streets or jail to begin their journey to healthy and financially independent living through our two programs:
Residential healing program - Our two year program is carefully structured and intentionally relational. Our sisters live together in a safe home where they gain access to physical and mental healthcare, substance abuse treatment, education, legal/family reunification support, life skills training, debt resolution and more all at no cost.
Mission business - Sisters of Solace is a mission with a business that employs our residents at the Solace Market located at 3024 Frederick Avenue. The sisters begin earning an income while learning marketable skills designing and manufacturing clean burning soy candles and all-natural spa products that are sold in their retail boutique. We've recently opened a coffee shop at the Solace Market creating more jobs for the women in our program.
Sisters of Solace is built on our core belief that lavish love heals and our programs are designed for results that are built to last. To date, not a single graduate of our long term program has returned to life on the streets.
