Strap on your running shoes, take a walk around the neighborhood or jump on your bike as you work to meet the distance goal of your choice - all while strengthening local journalism for the whole community.

While you’re stretching your legs our journalists will be stretching their resources to bring you everything you need to know before election day. From local races to the presidential contest, we will need to marshal every dollar we can to help listeners gather the information they need to make informed decisions at the polls. Wherever you choose to get your miles in, you can count on St. Louis Public Radio to be right there with you.

Your registration includes a premium, long-sleeved, half-zip race shirt, a digital race bib to share online, a custom finisher medal, and the knowledge that you are partnering to build a more informed electorate.

Let’s all cross the finish line of this election season together - stronger, smarter, and more resilient.

Register by November 2 and then plan to join St. Louis Public Radio on-air and online for election coverage on November 3. Log your miles all the way through December 31.

What is a virtual race, and how does it work?

A virtual run/ride event is similar to a traditional running/cycling event except that the participant completes it on their own. There is not a required location where the event must be completed nor a mandatory time. A virtual run/ride event creates positive motivation to get outside, be active, and give back to the community.

Participants first choose the distance they’d like to run or ride, just as they would during a live running event. Once you choose your virtual event and complete your registration, the next step is to conquer the distance you signed up for to earn the finisher medal. The set distance can be completed at any location and at any time of the day; the choice is completely up to you. Also, there is no time limit during which the distance must be covered in, and you can split up the distance between multiple days. The important thing is to finish the event, complete the distance, and have fun. Once finished, simply go online and submit your time to be included in the race results page.

Run Up to the Election Timeline
