Like all things 2020, this year's Run for Ryan will look a little different. As always, we will begin with the 9:30am Thanksgiving mass at SCL, limited seating will be available in the church and mass will be streaming live at www.sclparish.org. Please join us virtually by running/walking on your own and posting pictures in your race day shirts on our Facebook page.
The Run for Ryan was formed to support parishioner, Ryan McDaniel and his family in their battle against cancer. The McDaniel Family, so grateful for the love & support they had received, created the Stay Strong Fund to help others who find themselves in a similar situation. Ryan’s legacy of kindness & generosity lives on in this fund that continues to support Ayden (Junior @ St. John Vianney HS ) , Mallory (Freshman @ Notre Dame HS), Jake (3rd) and Kim McDaniel.
**A portion of the 2020 Run for Ryan proceeds will be donated to the trust fund set up for Jen Gau Marr's children.**

Q: How does a virtual run work?
A: Once you register for a distance, the next step is to complete the distance and earn your finisher medal. The distance set by the event that you register for can be completed at any location of your choice, and can even be completed indoors on a treadmill.
Q: Do I have to run the whole way?
A: No. You can run, walk, or hike. You just have to move and move often. Those miles aren't going to complete themselves.
Q: Where should I complete my miles?
A: That's the beauty of a virtual race, you can cover miles wherever and whenever you like! Your neighborhood, local parks, treadmill, trainer all are good options. We do however insist you stay safe by observing all local, state and federal social distancing orders as well as respecting any closures or social distancing rules of local, county or state parks. Also if you're not feeling well or experiencing any symptoms of COVID19, it's best you stay home, rest and seek medical attention if necessary.
Q: What do I get for participating?
A: Participants get a custom limited edition long sleeve t-shirt, a virtual race bib, access to our fancy tracking software.
Q: How will I report my miles?
A: Refer to the Results tab to submit miles for full details.
