Description
Jog for Jax is a 5k walk/run designed to raise money to support bereaved parents. The money raised will go to The For You Foundation, a nonprofit that strives to provide paid maternity leave to bereaved mothers.
On May 30, 2022 Mikayla and James Knifong lost their son Jaxon who was born prematurely. He lived in the NICU for a little under two hours before he passed. The couple wanted to do something to honor their son, as well as help other families in need.
Through this race, Mikayla and James hope to spread awareness about child loss, as well as raise money for other families in need.
The race will be conducted at the Little Platte North trailhead at Smithville Lake in Smithville MO.
