WOW ! Can you believe this is the 12th Year for this amazing event ? We are so excited to continue Julia's legacy by holding this race every year, and raising and donating money to some amazing organizations and individuals.
For the 2nd year, we will be holding our event at SMITHVILLE LAKE ! We received so much positive feedback last year, that we had to continue with the 12th Annual Event at the Lake. We will start at finish the race at the Little Platte Beach area - this will allow for plenty of parking, a section of road running, then hitting the paved trails to see the beauty of the lake on a beautiful fall morning !
Sign up today for our 12th annual race in memory of Julia Bargman. Julia lost her battle with Breast Cancer, November 10, 2010. Her family and friends are continuing her legacy with this event, in hopes to raise awareness for early Breast Cancer Detection and to help raise funds to find a cure!!! Proceeds from our event are donated to the Saint Lukes Foundation Center for Womens Care, University of Nebraska Foundation- Fred & Pamela Buffet Cancer Research Center, and the Julia Bargman Hope Foundation. We hope you will join us this year for our post race breakfast !! This year we are doing something a little differently though. As in the past breakfast will be served by The Sons of the American Legion Squadron 58. But this year the charge is by donation only - and the Sons are graciously donating their time to prepare a wonderful breakfast of Biscuits & Gravy, juice and coffee after the race . We are so lucky to have had these wonderful men volunteer for our race for 9 years!!! So please join us for breakfast after the race at the American Legion Building - on the patio- located at 2607 NE 92 Hwy, Smithville.
There will be a donation bucket at the door for you to donate whatever amount you can or want to for the breakfast. Proceeds to benefit the Julia Bargman Hope Foundation. The doors will open at 8:00am to the public as well as all race participants, volunteers, and spectators.

Race Morning: Saturday October 9, 2021 from 6:30am-730am at Race Site -
Following the Finish of the 5K - Awards will be presented to the overall top 3 male and female finishers.
Age Group awards will be given to the top 3 male and top 3 female winners in each 10 year age group.
We will not have an awards ceremony, but will have the awards ready for pick up at the race site. Please stop by the table and grab your award!
