Polar Plunge Rules and Tips:

Plungers must submerge their entire body (yes, including their head, into the water). You can tread out as deep as necessary and lay down or just run out and go under. Your choice. No wetsuits or other protective clothing are allowed, though footwear is recommended. Costumes are a fun way to celebrate and encouraged. We'll have divers out there keeping an eye on things- Give em' a high 5 and head back in! We will also have na inflatable waterslide, set up on the beach, providing multiple options for you brave plungers!!

Below are some tips from folks who have plunged in MUCH colder waters:
-Do Not enter this event if you have high blood pressure and/or heart conditions that will put you at risk when you are immersed in cold water.  If you have a heart problem...please just come and watch.
-Do Not drink alcohol prior to this event.   Alcohol does not warm you up and it accelerates hypothermia.
-Do Not stay in the water longer than 15 minutes.  Body heat is lost 25 times faster in water than in air.
-Do Not remove your clothing until swim time.
-Do bring a warm change of clothes, socks, shoes, hat, and blanket for post-plunge warm up
-Have fun and enjoy the craziness of the moment!!

The QuadBurner Event Series

The QuadBurner Event Series consists of five, short course, themed races that are spread out over a full calendar year. These events all take place along the beautiful coastal waters of Bay St. Louis Beach, Mississippi.
This series has a little bit of something for everyone. From kids to adults, elites to newcomers, and families looking for a way to be active together.
Race one event or race them all, the choice is yours. Each one is unique, yet they all share a common objective-

Every participant, of every event, receives:  professional chip-timed race, finishers medal, top notch swag, and entry to a killer after-party! We began the series 7 years ago as a way to encourage year round fitness. While this continues to be one of our primary goals, we also work tirelessly to raise funds for The Hancock County Canine Operation. These events help us all stay fit, add to our outstanding medal and t-shirt collections all while supporting our local law enforcement operations.

New for 2019:
- Medal #1 of the 2019 QuadBurner Event Series: each medal joins to create the free standing series mega medal pyramid
- A whole new batch of events to keep you on your toes and to keep you from getting bored!
- You may have heard we were handed the keys to Traditions Triathlon!!
- Cash awards at each event for Overall male/female finishers and Master's male/female finishers
- Miss an event? No worries our Burn the Bird Leftover 5k the day after Thanksgiving will be the perfect time to play catch up
