Taste of the Community 5K Fun Run & Walk

We are excited to announce the first annual Taste of the Community Farmers Market and 5K Fun Run or Walk Event in Purvis, MS to celebrate community, health and support local agriculture.

In addition to the 5K Run & Walk, activities include the Black Farmers & Entrepreneurs Market with fresh produce, artisanal goods and unique crafts from local Black-Owned farms and businesses to promote health and wellness in our community. 

The 5K Runners will receive a race medallion and prizes will be awarded to the Top Male & Top Female runners for the 10-30 age group and the 30+ age group. Timing for the 5K Run will be by Diva Timing.

The 5K Walk is free and will not include medallions or awards. 

T-Shirts will be available at additional cost during registration through September 11, 2024. Shirts ordered after September 5, 2024 may need to be picked up after race day. Extra shirts may be available to purchase at the event but sizes are not guaranteed. 

Join us after the race for live music, dance performances, entertainment, food trucks, boutique vendors, raffle items, door prizes and a kids corner with fun activities.
