Hill’s Annual Homeward Bound 5k

Race details: This event is a 5k race in which you can run, jog, or walk with any of your friends- human and four-legged! All dogs are welcome to join you and we have a special component this year: there will be a Halloween costume contest!! So grab you running shoes, your friends, and your best Halloween spirits because this will be a race you do not want to miss!
Race Location: Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine, 240 Wise Center Drive, Starkville, MS 39762
Awards: First place will win a free month (equivalent of one large bag) of Hill’s Pet Food for one cat/dog in addition to a box of pet treats. Second place will receive a small bag of pet food and a box of pet treats. Third place will receive a small bag of pet food. Places 4- 10 will receive a bag of treats. Halloween contest winner will also receive a large bag of food and a box of treats!
Proceeds: All proceeds will be donated to the Homeward Bound Project of MS. The Homeward Bound Project of MS is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization operating since 2007 in Starkville, MS. Homeward Bound is run entirely by volunteers, most of whom are attending or working at the Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine. They work with shelters in Mississippi to transport adoptable dogs (and sometimes cats) to adoption guaranteed rescues in the Northeast, thereby giving them a chance at a better life.
Entry Cost information: $20. T-shirts will be guaranteed for all of those who register by October 15, 2017. T-shirts will be available for purchase between October 2nd-28th. Registration will be available from 7:30-8:30am on the day of the race.
