Description
Help us promote autism awareness and acceptance by joining us for a Saturday morning 5K Run/Walk at Ballard Park. Proceeds from this event will go to the Autism Center of North Mississippi, a local 501(c)3 providing affordable Applied Behavior Analysis therapy to children with autism and other developmental disabilities. The 5K Run/Walk will start at 8:00 AM. You can sign up online by using this site, or you can sign up in person at the Autism Center's office. Early entry fee is $25 but goes up to $30 on March 19th. Anyone who wants to help support our cause but has other plans that day can have their t-shirt mailed for an additional $5.
If your entire family wants to participate, we have a $60 family maximum. All members must live at the same address and sign up at the same time before March 19th. You will have to go by the Autism office and sign up in person to get this option.
All registered runners will get an Autism 5K t-shirt and participate for awards. Age groups for male and female participants will be 0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+. Let's show our support for the many families in our surrounding area living with autism. Race participants that have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder can register for FREE if they register at the Autism Center (bring a copy of the diagnosis). Please be sure to register each participant so everyone can get a race package including a t-shirt.
T-Shirt sizes are Youth Small to Adult 3X. The t-shirt company suggests ordering a size up.
Be sure to like the Autism Center on Facebook at The Autism Center of North Mississippi. You can also check out our website (link also on this page) for more information.
