Virtual Race
The Byram-Terry Chapter of Jackson State University National Alumni Association is having its inaugural virtual race to raise funds which will be used to assist the chapter in providing financial assistance to students attending Jackson State University. We currently offer students $500 book vouchers per semester. Our goal is to not only increase the amount of financial assistance provided, but to also develop an endowment fund for students attending Jackson State University and further assist the chapter. With your help in participating in this virtual race, we will be able to do that.
What is a virtual race? A virtual race is an event that allows you to complete your set distance when and where it is convenient for you. You can walk, run or crawl this self-motivated competition. It is called a virtual race because it can be completed on your own terms. It can be done on a treadmill at home or at the gym, with friends or alone; during day break, at dawn or on your lunch break. You select your distance of 5K (3.1 miles) or 10K (6.2 miles) and begin.
When: Complete your race anytime during the month of May. For participating in this event, you will get a beautiful, JSUNAA Byram-Terry Chapter medal.
Cost: $25, which includes your medal* and shipping. Discounts will be given for registrants who complete registration by April 22, 2016.
