Description
We are thrilled the annual Freedom Run 5k on July 4th in Bigfork will continue this year and for years to come! The Rotary Club of Bigfork will oversee the organizing of the Freedom Run and Grateful Nation Montana will continue to benefit from race proceeds - enabling continued support for the surviving children of our Fallen Montana Military Heroes who were killed in action in Iraq and Afghanistan Wars.
The Run/Walk is open to all ages and abilities, and is a great opportunity to come together to remember and give thanks to all of our Military families before Bigfork's 4th of July parade. Families and friends gather at Lake Baked starting at 7:30am for check in and the race begins at 9:00am. The Freedom Run 5K heads out along the beautiful and scenic Wild Mile Nature Trail. Competitive Timing is out at the start and finish line and is found right in front of Lake Baked. At the finish line everyone enjoys cookies and medals! Please register early before June 1st to guarantee a shirt and your shirt size. Thank you so much!
If you would like to be a part of the Freedom Run 5K and are not interested in walking or running the race then we'd greatly appreciate your help to make the event a well-oiled machine. We welcome you to visit the Volunteer page on the tab to the left and sign up! Thank you for your interest and we look forward to seeing you on July 4th at 7:30 a.m. for race day check in!
