Description
Join us for a 10- or 20-mile bike ride to raise awareness for the effects of climate on children's health. Open to health professionals and anyone concerned about this issue! Sponsored by Billings Trailnet and Montana Health Professionals for a Healthy Climate.
VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED ALSO!
For 20 miles, meet at Rocky Vista University, 4130 Rocky Vista Drive (just north of REI) for a 10 am departure.
For 10 miles, meet at the West End Children's Clinic, 3401 Avenue B and depart at approximately 10:20
***All participants must pre-register.
Participants must check-in at the start, sign a liability statement, and wear their armband to participate.
Riders will bike to and from downtown, experiencing the wonderful commuting bike routes available in our city.
There will be a mid-way break with drinks and snacks and brief speakers on this topic and Montana action from 10:50-11:10 at the EV Chargers in front of the Billings MRI Center 2900 12th Ave. N.
At noon at the Rocky Vista parking lot, there will be ICE CREAM and PRIZES.
Air Quality: if AQ is over 150, the ride will be canceled (airnow.gov for 59101). If AQ is 100-150 we will have a RALLY for climate change and kids and a shortened ride with face masks to draw attention to air ande climate and health!! All registrants will receive an email by 8 am on 9/14/24. If storming, the ride is off; if raining, the ride is still on. Se you there!
