Join the Yellowstone Rim Runners for the first race in our 2022 Free 3 club race series: Rims to River. This 8K (4.97 miles) race along the paved multi-use trail provides views of both the Rims and the Yellowstone River.
In-Person, Self-Timed Race with the Club: In place of our usual Wednesday night group run on June 1 at 6:00 pm, we'll race together. This option provides a festive race atmosphere and some friendly competition! Please time yourself at this race and submit your time; there is no official timer and mat. Please arrive early so we can all start running at 6:00 pm. Plan to stick around afterward to socialize. All speeds of runners and walkers are welcome!
Free Entry for All Yellowstone Rim Runner Members
This race is free to all current Yellowstone Rim Runners. When you register, RunSignup will check for your membership automatically and change your price to $0. If you aren't a Yellowstone Rim Runner, it is cheaper to register for club membership. Not only will this race be free, but you will get all the benefits of club membership. First, join Yellowstone Rim Runners here ($15 individual/$24 family, plus processing fee), then come back and register for this race.
Park in the upper Metra lot. If you're doing the in-person option, we'll meet up in the parking lot and walk to the start line together. Please arrive early, so we can begin at 6:00 pm.

Begin on the bike path near the Alkali Creek Bridge, head downhill to the river and turn around just before the first road across the bike path, then retrace the route to the start. Continue on the bike path through Earl Guss Park and through the tunnel under Main St, then follow the sidewalk along Main St and Airport Rd in front of the Tippy Cow to Swords Lane. Follow the bike path out Alkali Creek Rd and turn around midway through the big curve where Alkali Creek Rd turns north, then retrace the route to the start.
