The Snowcross Challenge is the first event of the Fatty Festival to take place on February 16, 2019 at the Crosscut Mountain Sports Center. The Challenge is to ride as many laps as you can in 45 minutes on the packed snow trails using a fat bike. All riders will start at 10:00 sharp and there will be a large clock at the start/finish line. As long as that clock says something less than 45 minutes when you go through, you go around again. Laps will be chip timed so that you can see your lap times afterwards. No categories, prizes, or any of that kind of thing - just go out there and have fun!
There is no charge to enter the Snowcross Challenge, however you must register and you will be responsible for obtaining a Crosscut day ticket or have a season pass. Day tickets are $20 for adults 19 and older, $10 for youth age 12 to 18, and kids under 12 are free.
All Crosscut trail use rules are in effect during the Snowcross Challenge, including mandatory helmet use, fat bikers yielding to all other trail users, bike tires 3.7" or wider, and of course riding safely and under control at all times .
