NUMBER PLATES & SOCKS
Register for the 9 race series and receive a free pair of low or high socks or a t shirt and get your name on your number plate
Each race riders earn points in their category. Points will not carry over categories if you race different categories throughout the season. First 5 races all count for the first series scoring; last 4 races all count for the 2nd series scoring. Points are as follows:
*1st place gets 25 pts, 2nd place 24 pts, 3rd gets 23 pts, etc.
*25th place and up gets 1 point, as long as at least one lap is completed.
*Series ties are broken by whoever has the better finish in the last event.
PRIZES & JERSEYS
*Each week the leader of every category wears the leaders jersey (picked up and dropped at registration)
*Podiums and prizes for top 3 in all categories.
*Prizes supplies by local bike shops and sponsors.
Results will be posted online at www.CompetitveTiming.com as the race finishes. Series Leaderboards will be posted there too. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you have questions about the results.
*11 & Under - This starts at 4:25 every week, it's a separate start and they have the course to themselves. Really good for mountain bikes and friends, parent viewing friendly, podiums to follow.
*PARTY - The party category races at 4:45pm every Wednesday. It's typically 3-4 laps. All bikes are welcome on course. It's a great beginner, recreational style category. I recommend it for first timers or more recreational event riders. Amazing workout and meet new friends.
*12 - 18 - It's a 4:45pm start on Wednesdays. This is a good middle school and high school category. If you are racing the national circuit I'd race in the adult categories.
*Clydesdale - 200lbs plus
*Master 40 Male
*Master 40 Female
*Master 50 Male
*Master 50 Female
*Men B - Intermediate to advanced riders, big field, fun racing, most of these folks have a season of racing under their belt
*Women B - intermediate riders, with a season of racing or strong beginners
*Men A - Raced A previously or strong rider in other cycling disciplines with race experience
*Women A - Strong cyclist with good bike handling and experience
Onsite registration is available (we'll likely ask you to register on your phone) but we encourage folks to pre-register online to keep things smooth on race day. Online registration will be open up until the events each week..
Please keep your plate for the whole series. Riders must check in every night unless you are a season or series pass holder. Only those that pre-registered for all nine races of either of the two series of races before the first race do not need to check in each night. This is a benefit for those that pre-register for all the races. Everyone else, including those that pre-register for one race at a time, must check in each night with your plate number.
You must also check in if you:
Forgot or lost your plate
Are switching categories from something different than you registered
Did not register for that evenings race
