Description
(Canceled: See you in 2021!)
You don't want to miss this one.
You get to run from Placid Lake (near Seeley Lake, MT) to Gold Creek (near Missoula, MT) through the heart of the Montana mountain country. The race starts near Placid Lake State Park and finishes at Gold Creek near Missoula. Shuttles will be provided from the finish line (Junction of Gold Creek and HWY 200) and from Conflux Brewing to the start (Placid Lake). You will run from the start back to Gold Creek. The finish line shuttle can take you to the head of Gold Creek road (junction of Gold Creek and HWY 200) or back to Conflux Brewing in Missoula. There are no finish line shuttles back to Placid Lake (start).
The route consists of trail, closed Forest Service roads, and some miles of mixed road/trail terrain. There will be a support station approximately every 15K. The route climbs a few passes, but is not overly steep. It is nice mix of long steady climbs and long enjoyable declines. You will run through some burned sections, past old cabins, and along the route author Norman Maclean walked with his brother from Seeley Lake to Missoula. There will be an after party (6pm) at Conflux Brewing in Missoula!

Run for a Cause!
A portion of each registration and an overall donation from Mountain Trail Series will be given to See Them Home Missoula.
In our valley, beauty converges with culture to create a community unlike any, anywhere. But for some people, life in Missoula means impossible choices and crushing hardship. It means running from violence at home—and hiding the realities of homelessness at school or work. Check out their website to learn about the challenges faced by Missoula’s hidden homeless, and hear how YWCA Missoula and Missoula Interfaith Collaborative are partnering to See Them Home.
We feel this foundation is doing critical work to help children who are dealing with hunger and homelessness in Missoula. All donations go directly to See Them Home Missoula.
Thank you for your support.
