Rad Skimo is a ski mountaineering VK and Sprint event; athletes skin up the climb, remove their skins at the top, and descend (depending on the race) back down to the base area. These races are open to all abilities-- from competitive athletes to those just getting into the sport. You're allowed to us skimo skis, AT/touring skis, telemark skis, and splitboards. Skimo/lightweight race results are part of the Big Sky Skimo Cup, www.bigskyskimocup.com, part of a series of races in Montana.

Everyone who signs up and races for this race or any of the races in this series will be automatically included in the Big Sky Skimo Cup points series and will be eligible for the end of season prizes, and recognition as the Big Sky Skimo Champ! The points series will be managed by Muddy Dog Sports.
