Mackinac Island
Mackinac Island has been named one of the top ten island in the world by Conde Nast Traveler, National Geographic, TripAdvisor and USA Today. For centuries, visitors have found this National Historic Landmark and car-free Island to be the ideal vacation spot. Just horses and horse drawn carriages, bikes galore, gorgeous hotels, inns and bed & breakfasts, shops, world class dining, history at every turn, and the glory of Mackinac Island State Park. There are no early morning ferries off the Island the day of the run. We do not recommend staying on the night prior, as you will miss the run. However, we do recommend visiting Mackinac Island. It is fantastic.
