Join Our Volunteer Race Crew

Not racing, but want to be a part of the event? VOLUNTEER WITH US! 

It takes hundreds of volunteers to make the Magic City Half Marathon & 5K run smoothly, and there are many ways for you or your group to get involved! Volunteer opportunities throughout race weekend include assisting with Packet Pick Up & Registration, Participant Gear Bag Check, Finish Line Hydration, Finisher Medals, Post-Race Food & Beverage and much more! 

Join our energetic, dedicated race crew and VOLUNTEER for event weekend November 23-24, 2019! No experience is required, and you may volunteer for as many shifts as you desire as long as the shifts do not overlap.

INDIVIDUALS
There are many opportunities for individuals and small groups to get involved and become a part of the race crew! CLICK HERE to learn more and sign up! 

GROUPS
Non-Profits, Sports Teams, Service Clubs, Church Groups, etc.... If you have a group of 10 or more that is interested in volunteering, please contact Allison Stone at allison@cadence180.com 
Your group may be eligible to receive a FINANCIAL DONATION from the event! 

WATER STATION GROUPS
Groups must provide a MINIMUM of 10 volunteers to manage a water station. Group members must be 7th Grade or above, and at least two adults over the age of 21 must be present. If your group is interested in managing a water station, please contact Allison Stone at allison@cadence180.com
Your group may be eligible to receive a FINANCIAL DONATION from the event! 
Groups selected to manage a water station will receive the following: 

  • Exclusive naming rights to the assigned water station 
  • Opportunity to "dress up" the assigned water station 
  • Opportunity to distribute materials to all event participants during the Event Expo / Packet Pick Up
  • Opportunity to include logo / flier in our virtual race bag
  • Opportunity to include a "swag" item in our participant race bag

CHEER STATION GROUPS
Groups of any age are welcome to host a cheer station along the 5K or Half Marathon course! At least one adult over the age of 21 must be present. If your group is interested in managing a cheer station, please contact Allison Stone at allison@cadence180.com
A $250 CASH PRIZE will be awarded to the MOST ENERGETIC / SUPPORTIVE / FUN / CREATIVE CHEER STATION! 

AGE LIMITS
Volunteer with your family! Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian adult volunteer.

The Magic City Half Marathon & 5K would not be able to host this event without the help of many individuals and organizations – and that means YOU! We would like to thank each race crew volunteer and volunteer group for your outstanding service.
