Race starts at 9:30 am. All participants must finish by 3:00 pm.
Starts on P Street between 9th & 10th Avenues in downtown Anchorage and will finish at the Delaney Park Strip, less than 1/2 a block from the start line.
When registering for a relay, all members of the relay must select a wave start (call it crazy), even though the only racer actually starting in a wave will be the first (1st) runner.
This two-member team event will cover the same course as the individual half-marathon. Team runners can only run in one leg of the event. See exchange zone below.
Half-marathon runners will begin on P Street between 9th & 10th Avenues. Heading south on P Street, the course will turn right on 11th Avenue and then right again on U Street. Runners will leave U Street and enter the bike path (to the west - towards the inlet) at Westchester Lagoon.
The course then proceeds south along the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail to Earthquake Park, where runners leave the bicycle path and proceed along West Northern Lights Blvd/Pt. Woronzof Road. A half mile before West End Road runners will leave Pt. Woronzof Road and follow a ½ mile wooded path back to the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail, where they will head north back to Westchester Lagoon.
Runners will leave the bicycle path at Westchester Lagoon, turning left onto N Street to the finish at the Delaney Park Strip.
