About Meridian HealthCare

Image

Meridian HealthCare traces its roots back to 1972, when it was incorporated as a community-based, non-profit organization with a goal of serving individuals and families struggling with addiction. We recognized over the years that individuals and families dealing with alcohol and/or other drug addictions face many barriers that go beyond the substance being abused. Among them are mental illness, homelessness, HIV/AIDS, inadequate medical care, lack of job skills and more. We recognized that any comprehensive and successful treatment program must also address these issues. Thus, over time, Meridian developed many additional programs and services to help our patients both recover and lead more healthy and productive lives.

Today, Meridian HealthCare’s mission is Saving Lives, Serving Communities. We offer a comprehensive approach to drug and alcohol abuse that includes alcohol and other drug treatment and prevention, primary healthcare, housing, employee assistance programming, and much more. We are committed to meeting emerging community needs, and we expect to evolve further to encompass additional services to meet those needs.
