Metro United Way 5K Run/Walk

Race Venue

1. Where will be the race be held?  The race will start and finish at S. 2nd Ave & W. Walnut Alley (near City Place), La Grange, KY 40031.
2. What time does the race start?  The 5K Run/Walk will start at 2:30 pm.
3. What time should I arrive?  Please arrive at least one hour before the race start time.
4. Where will I park?  Parking is available on the side streets in La Grange near the Start/Finish line. 

Race Registration

1. When does online registration close?  Online registration will close on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at midnight.
2. Can I register on race day?  Yes! Race day registration will be available for an increased fee over pre-registration fees. Cash and checks only will be accepted on race day.
3. What do I get for my registration fee? Your registration fee includes your race number and a race t-shirt. Shirts cannot be guaranteed to those registering after Friday, November, 24, 2017.
4. Is there a benefiting charity?  Yes, all proceeds will support the Metro United Way.
5. Can I get a refund of my registration fee? Sorry. Registration fees are non-refundable.
6. Should I register my young children? Small children that can't run or walk the 5K need not be registered.  Only registered participants will receive a race number and race t-shirt.

Race Participation

1. When can I get my race t-shirt and race number?  Early packet pickup will be available on Friday, December 1, 2017 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Oldham County Chamber of Commerce building at 112 South First Avenue, La Grange, KY 40031. Race day packet pickup will open at 12:30 pm at the race site. 
2. Can I view a course map?  Yes. Click the "5K Course Map" tab on the main registration page to view the course map.
3. Is the course totally on hard surfaces?  Yes! The course is on the paved roads in La Grange, KY.
4. Is the course suitable for strollers?  Yes. Pushing a stroller on this course is possible. Please start in the back of the race pack.
5. Can I walk the race?  Yes! Walkers are welcome.
6. Can I bring my dog?  Yes. Dogs are welcome. NO RETRACTABLE LEASHES PLEASE!  Please start in the back of the race pack and plan to clean up after your pet.
7. Are there other restrictions? None at this time.

 Race Timing/Awards/Results

1. Will the race be timed?  Yes! The race will be timed by 3 Way Racing.
2. Will awards be presented after the race?  Awards for the top 3 male/female overall and top 3 male/female in the following age groups: 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65 & over. NOTE: To be eligible for an award, you must run or walk the entire 5K course independently.
3. Can I find my finish time online?  Yes! Click the "Race Results" tab on the main registration page to view the race results.
