The use of personal music devices is strongly discouraged because it can be a distraction. Runner safety is a top priority for our event; please be alert and mindful of race personnel and other participants to ensure a safe and enjoyable race for everyone. Keep in mind that running headphone-free allows opportunities to develop camaraderie with your fellow runners and to enjoy everything the race has to offer. Volunteers and spectators will be on the course cheering you on and providing directions to help get you to the finish line.
Both! We encourage walkers and runners of all abilities to participate. Both the 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run are open to walkers or those that want to run.
Yes, the timing chip is located on the backside of your 5K bib number. On race day your actual race time will be recorded and available online and you will be eligible for awards.
The 1 Mile Fun Run is not timed.
A timing chip is attached to your race bib number. As you move across a special mat at the start line, the chip registers that you’ve started the race. Then, as you cross the finish line, the chip registers that you’ve finished the race. At large races, like the A Midsummer Night's Run presented by HomeTown Bank of Alabama 5K, it may take a few minutes to reach the start line so a timing chip allows us to capture the actual amount of time it takes you to go from the start line to the finish line
Pets at the Race:
Pets are welcome to participate. All pets must be on a leash. Please clean up after your pet. The actions of the pet are the responsibility of the pet owner/caretaker.
Strollers at the Race: If you are participating with a stroller and/or children, we ask that you keep your children with you at all times and that you start from the back of the starting line. This will allow your family members and our other participants a safer race experience.
We anticipate all 5K participants to complete the 5K in an hour and 15 minutes.
The 1 Mile will start 1 hour after the start of the 5K.
Yes, someone else can pickup your race packet.

The start line and finish line are in the same location and is located on the southeast corner of the L&N Depot Building
We have lots available at Oneonta High School, where you can safely and securely park your car and then be shuttled to and from the event site.
As a reminder, there will be NO parking at the event site.

All participants will receive a t-shirt as long as the size is available. Register early to receive your shirt size.

Changes to T-shirt size, Age, Date of Birth, Address, or even changing from 1 Mile Fun Run to 5K. Just be aware there are deadlines to allow for the changes, and typically changes are turned off 2 days prior to the event date.
