What is Crew Up?
MileBuilt runs lean. Every crew member has a role and a reason to be there.
Crew Up is how you join race day — not as a spectator, but as part of what makes it work. Show up on time. Know your role. Do the work.
Crew Roles
Every role has a defined shift. You pick what works for you at sign-up.
Registration & Packet Pickup — Greet runners at check-in. Hand out bibs. Answer first-time questions. The first face runners see on race morning.
Aid Station Support — Pour water, hand out electrolyte drink, refill bottles, restock snacks, and keep the station running smoothly throughout the race.
Finish Line Crew — Cheer runners across the line. Monitor the GONG station and ticket dispenser. Hold the finish line. Hand out Daily Finisher Medallions. Direct runners to the ledger table.
Runner Tracking Support — Help with the Finish Ledger. Confirm ticket numbers, bib numbers, distances, and clock times. The system that makes the finish official.
Course & Turnaround Support — Direct runners at turns or turnarounds. Confirm distances. Be a steady voice for someone who's been out there for hours.
Setup & Cleanup Crew — Help build the race before runners arrive. Break it down after the last runner crosses. The invisible work that makes everything possible.
Wherever-Needed Crew — Race day is a moving target. Things change. People shift around. The Wherever-Needed Crew goes where the day asks them to go — and that is one of the most valuable spots on the course.
Run AND Crew?
The 2-Day Bridge Challenge gives you the option to do both — race one day and crew the other, all at the same event.
Racing Day 1 (February 20)? Crew Day 2 (February 21). Sign up for any Day 2 shift that fits your timing. Race Saturday. Crew Sunday.
Crew Day 1 (February 20)? Race Day 2 (February 21). Register for Day 2 in advance, crew Day 1 on race weekend, race Sunday.

What to Expect
When you sign up you will select your role, shift, and event day. You will complete a brief set of questions and sign the MileBuilt Crew Up waiver before your sign-up is confirmed.
Closer to race day you will receive confirmation of your assignment and any role-specific details. Arrive at your shift at your scheduled start time.
Check in with the race director when you arrive and check out with the race director before you leave. This is how your hours are documented and verified. Hours that are not verified with the race director cannot be credited. No exceptions.
Wherever-Needed Crew assignments are confirmed closer to the event based on where the need is greatest.
