A Scenic Thanksgiving Tradition
The Millersville Turkey Trot 5K offers a fast, scenic course through the heart of Millersville University before finishing with one of the area's most memorable finish-line experiences.
Participants will travel through the beautiful university campus on a paved course featuring gently rolling terrain, enthusiastic volunteers, and plenty of encouragement along the way. Whether you're racing for a personal best or enjoying a Thanksgiving morning walk with family and friends, the course provides an unforgettable experience for participants of all abilities.
Course Details
🚩 The Start
The race begins just outside Biemesderfer Stadium.
To provide a safer, smoother start for everyone, participant should line up in color-coded corrals based on your predicted finish time. Faster runners will start near the front, while walkers, strollers and more recreational participants will line up farther back, allowing everyone to settle into their pace quickly and comfortably.
🌳 Through Campus
After the start, runners head out onto the picturesque campus of Millersville University, weaving through tree-lined roads and walkways before continuing onto the Penn Manor High School campus.
The route offers:

- Wide paved roads and pathways
- Gentle rolling terrain
- Plenty of volunteers and course support
- A welcoming atmosphere for runners and walkers alike
Mile markers are clearly posted throughout the course to help you track your progress.
🏟ļø Finish Like a Champion
As you approach the final stretch, you'll enter Biemesderfer Stadium and complete the final meters on the track before crossing the finish line.
It's one of the signature moments of the Millersville Turkey Trotāand a favorite among returning participants every year.
After finishing, you'll receive your finisher medal, refreshments, and can immediately view your results thanks to professional chip timing by Motion Timing.
