Mom's Day History

The Mom's Day Run started as a promise to my mother (Marianne) after she passed away from VHL complications on August 2, 2010.
My daughter had surgery on April 25, 2011, so we weren't able to advertise much that first year (2011). 48 friends and family showed up and
the Mom's Day Run was born.
Each year we grew a little more and this year a little more than that.
This year, I stood at the first turn and looked back at the starting line...as tears brimmed, I thought how proud my mom would have been.
So in her honor...I will continue to be a VHL Warrior.
On March 21, 2013 we lost my little sister, Robin. The outpouring of love and compassion has reminded me of what's truly important.
