Day of the event...
Please plan to meet at The Wine Room patio by 7:00 am. Following a quick meeting, we will begin marking the course, setting up tables, and ensuring everything is ready for our participants.
The following is an overview of the race day activities the volunteers will help manage.
- Help with directions for participants at strategic points
- Setup replenish water/ nutrition stations/tables
- Help with bands for participants each lap
- Help participants find bathrooms and with other needs
- Help setup directionals, cones, chalk that we use to guide participants.

Parking
Plenty of parking is available across the street from the starting area of the event. We ask that you only park in the areas designated on the included map, which includes the YMCA parking lot. Click the image to see an enlarged view of the parking areas.

Bathrooms
Multiple bathroom locations will be available during the event. All are in close proximity to the start/finish line and the route.
- Porta Potties will be available near start/finish
- The Wine Room will open bathroom around 7:30am.
- QT bathrooms will be available throughout the morning.
The locations will be reviewed pre-race and event volunteers will be able available to direct participants as needed. Click the image to see an enlarged view of the locations.
Weather Policy
The Mount Afton Challenge is a rain or shine event. In the event of snow or ice impacting attendee safety, all participants and volunteers will receive communications regarding any adjustments to the schedule.
