Hurricane Florence Relief Run/Walk 5K

On-Line Registration is closed.  You can register tonight starting at 5:00 pm at the Stanly County Family YMCA.  The Donation Link is open until Tuesday.

Hurricane Florence left a mess in the Carolinas, including plenty of damage to Stanly, Anson and Montgomery County.  Vac & Dash, in conjunction with the Uwharrie Running Club, Stanly County Family YMCA and American Red Cross - Stanly County Chapter, will host the Hurricane Florence Relief Run/Walk 5K. 

Throughout the Carolinas, Florence has left a path of destruction.  Let's help out our neighbors.  If you can not make it to Albemarle for the Sunday night run, you can run on your own time, in your own city.  We have set-up a virtual run which will allow you to participate where ever you are.

Proceeds to benefit the American Red Cross Stanly County Chapter for Hurricane  Florence Relief Fund.     The Stanly County Chapter of the American Red Cross has depleted their water supplies.  The one item they are in need of is cases of water.  If you can bring a case of water with you to the run/walk it would be greatly appreciated. 

Course:  Start at the old entrance to the Stanly County Family YMCA. Run to Main Street.  Right on Main. Cross the railroad tracks and take a right on the Greenway.  Follow the Greenway until you get to the water station at the corner of Salisbury and US 52.  Turn around and reverse the course back to the YMCA.
