Description

Morrow Mountain State Park

Hike (??miles) Bike (??miles) Paddle (??miles)

To win this event you need the right amount of speed plus the determination to work the entire time. If you have not experienced racing at night this is a great way to start with only 3 hours of dark as we near the summer solstice. That means you will have 9 hours of daylight leaving you less time for getting lost.

The Uwharrie Mountains were once a coastal mountain range however they are now 150 miles inland. Once entirely cleared for timber and farmland, the mountains were designated a U.S. National Forest in 1961. The woodlands have since returned, providing a haven for a diversity of wildlife and recreational opportunities.
