Here's a two-month program to feed your need for speed.  

For over a dozen years, Vac & Dash has hosted 2-Mile Tuesday for runners to get their speed on!  As the temperatures drop in the fall, we developed a training plan that is half the distance of 2-Mile Tuesday at twice the fun.

Every Tuesday from September 8th to October 29th, time yourself on a mile run and post it.  You can run as much as you can on Tuesday, just do a one-mile speed run.  You can run the mile on the road, on the track, on a treadmill.

This is a free event. If you would like a cool max Take Off Tuesday shirt it is $20.00.  We will give out prizes at the end of October.  Prizes will be based on the number of participants.

Each Tuesday time yourself for a one-mile run.  

If you like, you can run it on the Official Take Off Tuesday Course, (for those of you familiar with the 2-Mile Tuesday Course, we run the first half of it.) or you can run it anywhere.

The Course - Start on the corner of Alexander Blvd. and Depot St. behind the Stanly County Family YMCA.  On Depot Street run toward Salisbury Ave.  Turn Right on Salisbury, Left on the Greenway at the corner of Salisbury/US 52. Left on Roger Snyder Greenway.
