Vac & Dash "Hills of Chucky" Cross Country Classic  Boys and Girls Race at 4:45 pm

Cross Country Season is rapidly approaching.  Join us for the Vac & Dash Pre-Season Cross Country Classic at Chuck Morehead Park in Albemarle, NC.

Rather than race as teams, high school harriers will race as individuals through the woods, trails and hills of Chuck Morehead Park.

The "Hills of Chucky are definitely not Childs Play on this classic old school cross country course that championship runners are born.  

Thank you for registering for the Vac & Dash Hills of Chucky Cross Country Challenge.

A couple of changes, we have 40 people total registered for the race.  We will race the boys and girls together with the start time at 4:45 pm.

Packet Pick-up begins at 3:30 at Chuck Morehead Park in Albemarle.  The course is well marked and is a very spectator friendly.

We ask that runners were a mask when they are not running, we will have masks in their race packet.  We also ask that spectators please wear a mask or face covering and maintain social distancing.

The running community's ability to continue to hold running events depends on all of us to pitch in to keep everyone safe.

You must be in high school to participate. The race is open to public, private, Christian and homeschool runners.   Race is limited to 50 male and 50 female participants.

Boys and Girls will run together at 4:45 pm.  Medals and t-shirts to the Top  Ten boys and girls runners.

The entry fee of $15.00 will get you a Vac & Dash "Hills of Chucky" Cross Country Classic long sleeve t-shirt.  

Participants will be required to wear a mask unless they are running to warm up or racing.   Spectators are strongly asked and urged to wear masks and to socially distance.  The safety of participants, spectators, volunteers, etc. is of utmost concern to me.  For us to continue to host outdoor running events, safety precautions are a must.
