JLG Courage Over Comfort Virtual Race

All proceeds from this inaugural virtual run benefit The Junior League of Greenville, NC. The Junior League of Greenville, NC is a non-profit organization of women committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women and improving the community through the effective leadership of trained volunteers. Due to delays resulting from COVID, race packages will be shipped the week of October 24th.   As a result, we are extending the race window through Sunday, November 8th. 

Participants can run their designated race on their own time between the time frame of October 18th through November 8, logging their run results thru the RaceJoy mobile app.  

All 5k/10k runners will receive a swag bag including a unique medal that also functions as a bottle opener, customized tri-blend raglan t-shirt and decal sticker. All fun run participants will receive a customized t-shirt and decal sticker. Please note: In order to guarantee receiving your swag prior to the race, you must sign up prior to September 15th. 

We are also excited to announce a virtual post-run yoga and stretch session sponsored by Advantage Therapy Solutions via a link to be provided after registration.  

Shipping/Pick Up Information:

Pickup will be available at certain places around Greenville, including Tapped (650 E Fire Tower Rd., Winterville, NC) and Jarvis Street Bottle Shop (211-106 S. Jarvis Street, Greenville, NC). Shipping is available for out of town registrants for an additional surcharge of $5. Shipping and pickup will take place once registration has closed. Those that select the pickup option will be contacted via email once their items are available with their pickup options (including a drive-up option).  

Awards

Like most races, we will have recognition for the top 3 males and females in each race category.  

We are also working on some fun and unique ideas for awards. Since 2020 is unlike any other year, why not change it up a bit? 

We will also have awards in the following categories: 
·      Participant who signs up from the furthest distance to Greenville, NC
·      Recognition to the Junior League with the most participants
·      Most creative route - can be around Greenville, highlighting local businesses or landmarks OR be Greenville-inspired (must submit description and image of route to run@jlgreenvillenc.org)
