The Junior League of Asheville is excited to have you join us in the Be the Change Challenge, a 5K fundraiser to be held on April 15th with a virtual option April 1st - 16th. The event will begin across the street from Pleb and follow along the Greenway with an ending celebration at Pleb Urban Winery. JLA encourages registrants to skip, hop, walk, run, or race the event, which will also act as a fundraiser for the JLA. Funds raised for this event will directly support the Be the Change Grant and programs of the Junior League of Asheville.  


JLA will be awarding $5,000 through the Be the Change Grant to regional Western North Carolina nonprofits, with a focus on organizations that serve vulnerable individuals and children. For more information, please visit



In person: April 15th 8:30am registration, 9am start time
Virtual: Between April 1st - April 16th 


Registration Info:

Early Bird Registration - through 3/20

$40 (includes shirt & drink ticket for Pleb)

Participants registering prior to March 20th will receive their t-shirt prior to the event** at an in-person pickup. See details below. 

Regular Registration - March 20-April 15

$45 (drink ticket, shirt not guaranteed)

Participants registering between March 20th and April 15th are not guaranteed a shirt. 

***Registrations completed prior to 3/20 may pick up their shirts at:

HI-Wire Brewery Big Top on Tuesday April 11th from 5:30 - 8pm 


Pleb Urban Winery on Saturday, April 15th from 8:30am - 12pm


Registrants can opt for shipping if they prefer.

How it Works
Sign up here (use the Sign Up button at the top of the page).
Print out your digital bib (from your Runsignup profile page) if you'd like.
Run your race at a place of your choosing (including a treadmill) before the deadline. Share your time on our social media. 

What is a virtual run?

A virtual race is an event where you sign up and participate on a course of your choosing (or a treadmill). This is a great opportunity to work towards your running goals, stay healthy and support a great cause even if you're not available on race day! 

Where do I run?

You can run at a course of your choosing, including on a treadmill. 

When do I run?

You can run (or walk) anytime on April 1 - 16, 2023.

Will this race be timed?

The virtual run will not be officially timed, but share your results on our social media page! 

When/how will I get my swag?

Packet pickup is available Tuesday April 11th from 5:30 - 8pm at Hi-Wire Brewery Big Top location or Saturday, April 15th from 8:30am - 12pm at Pleb Urban Winery. Registrants can opt for shipping if they prefer.
