For 2023, the 5K event will be a hybrid race. We will run in-person and time runners like normal adjusting as necessary for any new COVID restrictions (TBD). We will allow virtual runners to run the course or a route of their choice on their own schedule in April if they prefer due to COVID concerns. Virtual runners should register to receive a t-shirt. Virtual runners will not be eligible for race medals based on time however. Virtual runners should email email@example.com for a coupon code to discount their fee. ALL runners, in-person and virtual, should register by April 2nd to ensure they receive a t-shirt. After April 2nd, we will NOT have t-shirts for runners registering after that date. Online registration ends at midnight on Wednesday, April 19 to allow for bib assignments. You can still register during packet pickup on Thursday, April 20 and Friday, April 21, 12p-6p at the Belmont Police Department and prior to the race on Saturday, April 22 (before 7:45am).
The Belmont Citizen’s Police Academy Alumni Association (BCPAAA) has hosted the Annual Belmont Classic 5K Run/Walk and 1-Mile family Fun run since 2004. The Belmont Classic 5K is a road race open to all ages and is digitally timed on a certified course. Whether you walk or run, it is great fun for all who participate.
The Belmont Classic 5K is the major annual fundraising event for BCPAAA. The funds raised are used to purchase items for the police department that are not normally covered under the regular operating budget. Officers can submit requests to the board.
