White Squirrel 5K

If you are receiving this email you are one of just over one hundred running in person in our White Squirrel 5K on Saturday - the weather looks about right.

Some pre-race tips. 

The Start and finish are at the RAILROAD DEPOT, 390 railroad Ave Brevard NC 28712

Bib pickup is on the day, only, from 7.00 am onwards. You will receive a bib with an RFID chip attached to it.

We run at 8.00 AM

Parking is available next to the DEPOT or across the street on Commerce Ave. Please do not park near the Warehouses as these are in active use.

Mask wearing will follow CDC guidance - you will not be indoors at any point.

Shirts and participation medals can be collected after the race. We will have shirts from past races available as well for $10. Photographs are free and will be on the web for you sometime next week.

There will be no awards ceremony at this race

There are toilets in the DEPOT building and we have two extra portables being delivered, as well.

We will have a table with complimentary masks and hand sanitizer. 

Our new Magic Book bus, which is a Rotary project with the schools, should be there as well - it isn't fully painted yet but aims to serve the underserved kids in the outer reaches of the County over the summer.

We will have over 20 volunteers out on the course to show you the way around the west of the City. Please thank them. 

You cross a couple of significant roads and we have Fire personnel there to help you cross safely. Thank the fire department as well !

Have a great time - please remember that this is a new course; a new starting point and 18 months since we and all the vendors have run this 'rodeo'. Please watch out for wild horses and cars - the two sometimes look the same!
