The 1st annual Pisgah High School 5k Community Race can be characterized as a fairly easy trail run. It’s mostly on grass, with some gravel, and a very short paved section. It’s a great opportunity to give some easy off road running a try without lots of difficult terrain. The surrounding hill and countryside will be the backdrop, making a picturesque autumn run on mostly level turf for this area. This event is open to all abilities and proceeds benefit Pisgah High School Cross Country. Do something good for yourself and for high school athletes!
Registration for Kids’ 1 Mile Fun Run will be the day of the event. It will be $5/child (cash only) and a parent is welcome to run alongside. Finishers will receive a ribbon awarded at the finish line. Start time will be at 8:40am.
Entries are limited and prices will increase periodically before race day, so be sure to sign up early!

📩 Packet Pickup
Pre-Race Day: Friday, Oct. 2 from 4pm-6pm at the PHS Baseball and Cross Country Complex on Highway 215.
Race Day: At the complex from 7:30am - 8:15am.
🅿️ Parking
Parking will be at Pisgah High School. Please print the parking pass provided via email to display on race day so you are not charged for parking. Enter the school from the front gate and park in the lot in the front of the school. There will be a shuttle bus running approximately every 10 minutes to and from the complex starting at 7:30. It’s about a ½ mile to the complex, so you’re welcome to jog there as a warm up. Just be aware that it’s an active roadway. The shuttle will run until 12:30 to accommodate the cross country race that will also be occurring.
