Island Montessori School will hold the sixth annual Tinted Turtle Trot 5k and 1 Mile Run on Sunday, May 16th at 10 a.m. at Mike Chappell Park in Carolina Beach. This year’s event features a new Kids’ Dash for younger participants. Participants can sign up to participate in an in person 5K, 1-mile, or kids dash or a virtual 5K or 1-Mile.
The run has a colorful twist: runners and walkers will experience color explosions before and during the race! Our event is unique to this area and we are excited to serve our community with simultaneous live and virtual events this year!
Registration for the 5K event is currently $30, with discounts provided to school, athletic, corporate, and community teams. Registration fees increase after April 16th. Participants can register at www.TintedTurtletrot.com before May 11th.
Onsite registration will also be available.
Packet pick-up location is TBA, Friday, May 14th, 5-7 p.m., and also the morning of the race starting at 9am. An awards and after-party will be held at TBA immediately following the race. Participants registered for the virtual event can still pick up their packet locally, or pay an additional fee to have their shirt shipped directly to them.
