Third and final race in the 14th annual Le Tour de Carrboro race series!
The race starts and finishes on Weaver Street in downtown Carrboro and winds through the nearby neighborhoods.
Since the inception of our Le Tour series we have donated over $400,000 to our community. Last year we donated $50,000 to our Community Partners! Come join us on Thanksgiving morning and support our 2018 Community Partners!
Online registration will be available until midnight on Monday, November 19.
Registration will also be available at bib pickup (November 20, 21, and race day morning), but we strongly encourage you to register early to avoid the lines. Also, the registration fee increases to $35 at bib pickup and on race day.
You can pick up your bib at Fleet Feet Sports in Carrboro on Tuesday, November 20 from 4-6:30 p.m., and Wednesday, November 21 from 10 a.m.-6:30 p.m., as well as race day morning.
Race entries are not transferable, i.e., you cannot give your bib number to someone else. By doing so, the results (awards, age group, and overall) will be inaccurate.
Please plan to carpool and arrive early for parking, as we had nearly 1600 runners and their cheering families and friends last year!
Here is a map of public parking in downtown Carrboro, and some additional locations: Lot across the street from Open Eye Cafe on Roberson St. and the Hampton Inn parking deck.
Do NOT park in the Harris-Teeter parking lot in Carr Mill.
Awards will be given to the top 3 male and female winners in the following categories: Open and Masters (40+), 9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-55, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+. Open and Masters winners are not eligible for age group awards. The top 3 winners in the Athena and Clydesdale categories will also receive awards.
Little Turkey Kids Races are FREE for children aged 2-9, and will be held after the 8K awards presentation. Participants will be divided into age groups 2-3, 4-5, and 6-7, 8-9 and kids will race to the finish line. There is no pre-registration, but parents must sign a release form before the events. Also, join us before or during the race at the family activity area and enjoy chalk drawing, jump ropes, hula hoops, and more!
We encourage everyone to join us at our events. If you want to walk the course, that's great. However, if the trailing police car passes you, you must follow normal pedestrian rules -- move to the sidewalk or side of the road. Our timing service tries to capture the time for everyone who crosses the finish line, so even if the police close the course, you should receive a finish time.
Baby strollers/joggers are permitted, but for the safety of all participants, please start at the back behind the runners and walkers.
Pets are not allowed on the race course.
Net proceeds from our races are distributed to our Community Partners. Since the inception of Le Tour de Carrboro in 2005, we have donated over $400,000 to our community! For 2017, we donated $50,000!
Please join us in supporting our community!
The IFC Food Pantry relies on donations from individuals like you. Please help them provide groceries and a holiday meal to households in need in our community. Non-perishable items such as canned goods and pasta are greatly appreciated!
Please bring your donations on race morning (not Tues/Wed bib pickup). There will be collection boxes inside Fleet Feet.
