Triangle Run Smart Fall 2026 Kids Race

Our Fall 2026 Kids Race is brought to you by Triangle Run Smart Training, presented by Pace Yourself Run Company and The Running PTs. 

Come join us for our Kids Track Race on Sunday, November 15, 2026 from 2-4pm at the Mills Park Middle School track & field in Cary!  We will have lots of mini races of varying distances on the track during the event, plus fun running games on the inner field for those waiting their turn to race.  Races to include: 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, and 1-mile races (broken into age groups).  Medals for all participants and ribbons for the top 3 winners of each individual race heat.  Open to ages 6-15.

Our Race is first open to current and previous Triangle Run Smart Training runners, as the goal of this race is to be a fun celebration of runners in our program, lining up after the fall training season ends.  (Race Password will be provided to runners by coaches.  You can also email: coachkelly@trianglerunsmart.com if you were in a previous class and need the password to register.)  If the race does not fill with TRS runners, we will open it up to others closer to race day.

This Race is not open to track teams.  It is for runners in the Triangle Run Smart Training program or individual runners, unassociated with a team.

Water, Gatorade, and popsicles will be provided to the kids during/after the event.

Cost of the race is $30.  No refund and no credit if you drop from the race after registering.

Cost includes: participation in as many mini race events as you'd like to register your child for, a race bib to wear during the event, participation in running games, hydration and popsicles, and medals.

Race is capped at 60 participants.

TRS Coaches will coordinate/coach this event.  After signing your child in, we ask that parents go to the stands during the event.

Location: Mills Park Middle School track and field #1 (inside the track) - 441 Mills Park Drive, Cary, NC 27519

Tentative Schedule of Events:

• 1:45-2:00pm - sign-in and get bibs
• 2-2:15pm - group warmups
• 2:20pm - 100m race
• 2:45pm - 200m race
• 3:00pm - 400m race
• 3:15pm - 800m race
• 3:30pm - 1 mile race
• 3:50pm - Awards, medals & popsicles, plus sign-out
