Description
Our Spring 2023 Kids Race is brought to you by Triangle Run Smart Training, presented by Pace Yourself Run Company and The Running PTs.
Come join us for our first Kids Race on Saturday, May 20, 2023 from 2-4pm at the Mills Park Middle School track & field in Cary! We will have lots of mini races of varying distances on the track during the event, plus fun running games on the inner field for those waiting their turn to race. Races to include: 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, and 1-mile races (broken into age groups: 6-9, 10-12, and 13-15), and relay races combining all age groups for a 4x100m and a 4x200m. Medals for all participants and additional small prizes for the winners of each individual race.
Water, Gatorade, and popsicles will be provided to the kids during the event.
Cost of the race is $25
Cost includes: participation in as many mini race events as you'd like to register your child for (based on age), a race bib to wear during the event, participation in running games, hydration and popsicles, and medals.
Race is capped at 60 participants.
TRS Coaches will coordinate/coach this event. After signing your child in, we ask that parents go to the stands during the event.

Tentative Schedule of Events:
- 1:45-2:00pm - sign-in and get bibs
- 2-2:15pm - group warmups
- 2:20pm - 100m race (3 rounds: Ages 6-9, Ages 10-12, Ages 13-15)
- 2:30pm - 200m race (3 rounds: Ages 6-9, Ages 10-12, Ages 13-15)
- 2:45pm - 400m race (3 rounds: Ages 6-9, Ages 10-12, Ages 13-15)
- 3:00pm - 800m race (2 rounds: Ages 10-12, Ages 13-15)
- 3:15pm - 1 mile race (2 rounds: Ages 10-12, Ages 13-15)
- 3:30pm - 4 x 100m (all ages together - 1 round)
- 3:45pm - 4 x 200m (all ages together - 1 round)
- 4:00pm - Awards, medals & popsicles, plus sign-out
Free Race Photos from the event will be provided to all, courtesy of one of our kids' run parents, Sergiy Matsak. A photo album link will be emailed out to registrants a week after the race. Thank you, Sergiy!
