Description
In 2016 USA Triathlon will host their inaugural High School Triathlon Championships in Clemson, SC on April 22. NCTC (North Carolina Triathlon & Cycling) is providing a training program for high school students to prepare for the championships. The NCTC program is open to all high school students (public, private & home school). Participants will race under the NCTC Regional Team designation until their high school has a team of their own. High School students that attend a high school that already has a team are welcome to join the NCTC Regional Team, but will race in their high school uniform.
Practices will begin February 15 and end April 22. There will be 3 practices per week with 4-5 sessions. Sunday will be swim (and sometimes run, bike and/or transition practice), Tuesday will be run and Thursday will be bike/run.
All participants must have a current annual USA Triathlon Membership License. The cost for a junior membership is $10/year.
