The last year was interesting...and on the bright side it allow Sheltered Events to explore ways to build unique events during those challenging times for all of us to continue doing the things we love! As a result, the Sheltered event formula is equal parts venue, food+beverage and music to build an indulgent craft experience for all our guests.
We are excited to announce The Grapevine Relay at Union Grove Farm. In the spirit of keeping us sheltered, and doing things we love within our own circles...The Grapevine Relay has been designed to be challenging but with elements that will keep you and your teammates equally spoiled. The Sheltered-style Relay format comes with a dedicated tailgate location centrally located on the course to allow your team to bring and set up a transition basecamp with everything to keep you comfortable while your aren't on the course. Speaking of, the course is 1 Mile country road with a mixed surface of dirt and gravel, challenging elevation gains / loss and beautiful views of the Union Grove Farm property. The tailgate basecamp is on the edge of the lake and surrounded by tall pine trees....the perfect spot to rest and revive between laps!
RELAY FORMAT: 1 Mile loop course and 60 mins on the clock, how many laps can your team complete? The only rule is 1 member on the course at a time, and you need to be checked back into the Transition Basecanp before your teammate(s) can start the next lap. Otherwise, you define your own relay strategy...who / when / how many laps you each do! Family Teams with kids of 14yr and under can run with an Adult and both of your laps count!
FOOD & BEVERAGE: This is our favorite part....we won't be serving half-cut bananas and dry bagels - but rather a Brunch Platter for two to include your choice of Local and Artisanal Charcuterie ~ OR ~ Smoked Fish Board from our partner Deli Edison! Full of flavors and protein to satisfy your tastes and your recovery! and how does hydrating with a decadent Grand Mimosa featuring freshly squeezed oranges sound!? or enjoy your complimentary bottle of Rose' or White...and of course H2O!

The Venue
The Course is a 1 mile country road that meanders Union Grove property, through woods and the vineyard meadow until you are back lakeside at the Transition Basecamp, pictured below.
