UNC School of Dentistry's Student National Dental Association is hosting the 2019 Oral Cancer 5K Run/Walk & Community Health Fair! The event (rain or shine!) will kick off at UNC Chapel Hill's Old Well Saturday March 30, 2019 at 8:00AM. 100% of our profits will benefit the Oral Cancer Foundation.
Cool off with us after the race at our Community Health Fair! We're partnering with UNC School of Medicine and UNC School of Pharmacy to offer you all FREE oral cancer screenings, blood pressure and glucose readings, and medication reviews on-site. Join us as we work with the community to promote oral cancer awareness!
About the Cause:
The American Cancer Society estimates over 51,000 people will be diagnosed with oral cancer in 2019, and approximately 1 in 5 will not survive. Profits generated from SNDA's Oral Cancer Walk & 5K will be donated to the Oral Cancer Foundation to fund life-saving research and reduce the incidence of oral and oropharyngeal cancers in the U.S. population.
