4th Annual Braille Trail Walk for Independence

Join us for something truly special at our 4th Annual Braille Trail Walk- the very 1st walk on the brand NEW Charlotte Braille Trail! Join us in supporting Lions Services, a Charlotte nonprofit empowering individuals who are blind or low vision, as we take a scenic 2-mile journey filled with tactile art sculptures, vibrant murals, and a beautiful community garden. Weather you walk in person or participate virtually from anywhere, this is your moment to be part of something meaningful.
Participants of all abilities are welcome, with volunteer walking guides available to ensure an inclusive and engaging experience for all. Don’t miss your chance to explore, connect, and make a difference!

Event Day Schedule:
8:30 AM – Packet Pick-Up
8:40 AM – Welcome & Announcements
9:00 AM – Walk Starts
10:00 AM–12:00 PM – Celebration with food, music, and giveaways
Refund & Weather Policy: Registration is non-refundable. Event held rain or shine unless severe weather occurs; updates via social media, website, and email.
What is the Braille Trail Walk?
The Braille Trail Walk is a signature fundraiser for Lions Services, a nonprofit empowering the blind and low vision community for over 90 years through employment, assistive technology training, and wellness programs, including the newly built Charlotte Braille Trail.
The 2K Walk is a fun, inclusive event for all participants of all abilities! This walk brings the community together in a powerful way. We're especially excited that this year's event will take place on the newly built Charlotte Braille Trail and will feature an after-walk celebration with music, food, and so much more!
