A 5K Run/Walk to support people who are Deaf-Blind
Saturday, November 3, 2018
Please join us, RAIN or SHINE, for a 5K Run/Walk through scenic Clayton NC, as we raise funds for programs and services that benefit people who have a combined vision and hearing loss.

Online Registration closes Thursday, November 1st, 2 pm EST. Individuals who have not Registered before then will have to Register "Same Day" - November 3rd on-site.
Same Day Registration Rates: $30 for adults 18 and over; $15, under age 18 and college students. We look forward to seeing you there for a spectacular event!
AWARDS:
Awards will be presented to the Top 3 Overall Male/Female and Top 3 Male/Female in each age group.
In addition, an AWARD will be given to the first physically challenged male and female finishers, and to the 1st Place Finish, 2nd Place Finish, and 3rd Place Finish person who is Deaf-Blind.

LOCATION: East Clayton Park, Clayton, NC (More Info on the Park). This park will also be the future location of the Harmony Universal Park.
REGISTRATION INCLUDES:
• T-shirt • Refreshments (Register by October 22nd to guarantee T-shirt size. T-shirts are not guaranteed for same-day registration.)
RUNNERS/WALKERS:
Individuals of all ages and abilities are welcome to participate. Participants under 18 years of age must have waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian.
Check-in & Registration: 8:45 - 9:45 am
Official Start: 10:00 am
All proceeds will benefit the programs and services provided by Helen Keller National Center for Deaf-Blind Youths and Adults (HKNC) and North Carolina Deaf-Blind Associates (NCDBA). We are very excited about our collaboration for our second annual Run/Walk in North Carolina!

The funds raised at this event will help provide the vital technology, resources and training our students need to live a more independent lifestyle. It will also ensure HKNC’s continued growth as a national leader in serving people who live with a combined vision and hearing loss.

ABOUT NCDBA
The mission of the North Carolina Deaf-Blind Associates is to advocate for the needs and rights of individuals who are Deaf-Blind and to enable individuals who are Deaf-Blind to achieve their maximum potential by being independent and productive in the mainstream as citizens of the state of North Carolina.
The funds collected from this event will provide Support Service Provider (SSP) services to those who need it, which will ensure the opportunity to maintain their independence throughout the community.
